I'm new to Adobe Premiere Elements. I want to import some MTS clips to it for editing. But I got an error message "unsupported file type". Tried your suggestion by converting MTS to MPEG-2 before importing, the problem resolved quickly. It seems Adobe PE still can't support MTS files natively.

I learnt that AVCHD can be supported by Premiere without problem. However, I got an error message finally. The only way I could choose was to turn to a third party program to transcode my videos. Thankfully, Brorsoft is much useful!
